Jiffy (Looks = 6; Engineering = 10; Handling = 9; Craftsmanship = 10).

Black & Decker D2030 Auto-Off Digital Advantage Iron Review

I have owned Kenmore Irons, and a top line Rowenta that was recently dropped - replaced by this B&D model.It holds more water than others, there is no gimicky controls - very basic - press the button for the right textile setting and go.The sole plate is smooth - steam is powerful.I iron all my jeans - most come out of the dryer with hard creases - this iron presses them all out. Delicate items - poly and blends - no melting!My old Rowenta melted everthing it touched - and then the $15 cleaning kit was a hassel with Rowenta - not to mention all the spitting from the steam holes.Black and Decker has made a fantastic iron that well worth the money!Don't hesitate - just buy it.

Rowenta DG5030 Pressure Iron and Steamer Review

I replaced my old Rowenta (blue tank) with the new model and found it to be less than satisfactory due to:excessive water spotting on fabrics at any temperature/steam combination of settings and the fact that the water level in the tank is not visible; instruction booklet states that the water level might affect the spotting issues; however, if the water level is not visible, this is moot.I have contacted Rowenta who informed me they were "aware" of thespotting and water tank problems and that my comments would be "duly noted."Considering the cost of this iron and Rowenta's reputation for quality products, I feel that prospective customers should be aware of these problems before purchasing.

Rowenta DA1560 Classic 1000-Watt Compact Iron with Stainless-Steel Soleplate Review

After my old Rowenta travel iron died, I wanted another one. This one is great! I use it all the time when ironing fabric for quilting. My large Rowenta sits in the closet; this one is so much easier on my wrists and hands. Also, the myriad of steam holes is very nice.

Proctor Silex 17410 Easy Press Lightweight Iron Review

The Proctor Silex 17410 Iron is indeed very lightweight, heats up quickly, gives off grundels of steam. It could use an easier to read control dial, but that isn't a major issue. I especially like the pivoting cord feature. I'd say that for the price it is an excellent value.
