B&D Steam Advantage Iron Review

B&D Steam Advantage IronThis iron has had a series of issues
1) it has a hot spot in the front that melts all synthetic fabrics. Even if you carefully set the temperature to the correct fabric, the hot area will melt and stick. You are constantly scraping the sole to remove residue.
2)Mine steamed well for about 2 weeks then it started to leak BADLY. Everything ended up with water spots.

Select any other iron. This one is a waste of money.

Product Description:
Heated flat stones or ceramic were used as irons, according to archaeological findings dating back to medieval periods. Time was managed differently in those days. Those who could afford fine linens had vassals working for them to do the flattening.

Fortunately, ironing is much easier with the Black & Decker F2200 Steam Advantage Iron with Auto Shut-off.

Fabric selection was much simpler five hundred years ago. Today, fabrics range from natural to synthetic to hybrid fibers. The LED display on the F2200 offers a fabric guide to let you know when iron reaches optimal temperature for the fabric you choose. Ironing is speedier, smooth, and finer when you've got that Steam Advantage. Then there's time to do other wonderful things.
