While this product seems to work as advertised, I suggest that users1)follow the instructions carefully and completely, and
2)use it ONLY when internal cleaning is needed.
It will clean and dislodge calcium and other deposits, but it is a chore to use, and should be handled with care.
For sole plate cleaning, there are other products that clean more easily, quickly and thoroughly, and with less mess and concern.
