This iron is incredible!It is heavy enough to iron well, but light enough that it doesn't trouble my gimpy shoulder!Of course, not having to do all the extra exercise of holding it up to rest on its end really helps---just move off the ironing area and let go...it automatically raises and I have even set it on a wood table and it raises and doesn't leave a mark.The stainless soleplate is very smooth and would be easy to clean if necessary---and I prefer stainless over the teflon for environmental reasons as well as had trouble with another teflon iron in the past....

Sunbeam 4229 Steam Master Iron with Hot-Iron Storage Strip Indicator Review

It's a nice iron, does exactly what it claims and that's all I really need. The only gripe I have is an annoyance and doesn't hamper the actual function of the iron. This model has a cord that is supposed to retract automatically into the iron with te push of a button. On literally the first use it retract about half the cord and stops. I have to wrap the rest up with a tie-wrap.

Sunbeam 4231 Steam Master Iron with Retractable Cord Review

At first, my husband and I really liked this iron. It shut off after not being in use for a while and the retractable cord was awesome for storing the iron. It seemed to iron fabric nicely and quickly. It put out a great amount of steam. We are not heavy-duty ironers, only about 4-5 shirts a week. After about a month or two, we noticed that the cord wasn't retracting very well and that the auto shut off would go into effect much quicker. We still managed to get our ironing done, though. Then, yesterday, the iron just died. The auto shut off feature took over always. As soon as you turned the iron on, the little red indicator light would start blinking and the iron refused to get even warm. It was a bit scary because the handle got pretty warm, but nothing else did. I would never buy this again. We bought it in October and 3 1/2 months later it won't work...

This light weight travel steamer has saved me many dollars.For the price of what I would have paid a hotel valet service to press my suitcase wrinkled clothes I could probably have room service breakfasts!The Esteam made quick work of the folds in a gabardine skirt, and spiffed up the collars of many a blouse and jacket.

While Esteam has become a must-have for our travel, it has also become a standby at home.We do have the J-2000 which is great, but because of the easy maneuverability of the hand held steamer I find that we use it more often.

Try as I might, a steam iron was leaving shiny spots on a taffeta skirt.The steamer smooths wrinkles with no trace whatsoever.There is a silk table skirt that we love but it was impossible to get it home from the cleaners unwrinkled - Esteam to the rescue.The uses we've found for it are countless.It's simply one of those household items we now wonder how we ever did without.

We like the wide mouth on the water tank, which makes it easy to fill and the fact that we can use plain or distilled water.The handle is ergonomically friendly, and the nine foot cord allows us to move about as much as needed.
